The Golden Gate P-214 is a beautiful reproduction of the classic hearts and flowers banjo necks of the 1930s

in select mahogany. Ready for your finishing touches, it comes to you with the most difficult work done, and only the final stages of finish and tuner installation needed from you! Golden Gate’s luthier-quality neck is a popular replacement for valuable banjos which may have become broken or worn, and for banjo builders who would like to save time and avoid the difficulty of carving, setting inlays, fretting and binding. The peghead design is of the classic fiddle-style with each neck being made from quality materials, including a rosewood peghead overlay and a fretted rosewood fretboard with bone nut installed and cut for strings. The inlay pattern of both the peghead and fingerboard are the classic Hearts and Flowers design. Final shaping and cutting of the heel is necessary to fit to your banjo, and can be shaped to fit any banjo rim type including Mastertone style banjo pots that require space for the flange.
