Gold Tone GM-6 Guitar-mandolin

Out of stock

If you play guitar

you can already play the Gold Tone GM-6 mandolin. It is a six string instrument tuned one octave higher than a guitar, EADGBE. It can provide the chop rhythm for bluegrass or country music without learning mandolin, or you can work out your own mandolin solos and backup licks using your existing guitar skills.

A competitor offers a similar mando-guitar selling for more than $2,000 and has a flat and more narrow fingerboard. The radiused fingerboard and wider neck allows for easier fingering. String action is super low and lead lines may be played very rapidly. This is a must instrument for guitarists in bluegrass jams and lends itself well in recording applications.

We have found that many guitar players absolutely love to play this because the sound is so entirely different than the guitar, it’s an inspiration to every player.

The GM-6 you see here does not normally come with a case or gig bag. So don’t forget to also order this for your new instrument. Options are listed below, and will fit this mandolin.
