If you were to ask

What is the most important part of a guitar for good tone? Our answer would be the top. After all. the top is what holds the bridge and saddle, the strings anchor to it and it is actually the vibrating part of the guitar that makes an audible sound. So wouldn’t the wood of the top be of utmost importance?

It is true that what the top of a guitar is made of has a huge impact on the sound of the instrument. And this is why an Adirondak spruce top really brings back a prewar sound. It has been hands off Adirondak for decades as the trees were over-cut back in the day. However good management practices, plus  70 years or more, new trees  are being harvested in limited supply today to produce the same great tone they did prior to World War 2. The tone is remarkable.. Put that in a spectacular abalone-clad beauty like the BR-70 and it’s truly got it all.

The Blueridge BR-70 dreadnought guitar is made available today with five versions. This type gives us a beautiful dreadnought with authentic prewar tone and a sharp, modern look. The outstanding quality construction of the BR-70 Dreadnought is, in large part, why Blueridge has gained so much praise over the years. You will agree, it’s a lot of guitar, with a lot of good looks back and front, and a tremendous sound.
